I'll sign it and stay here because I'm American Indian.
I think your petition is a great idea. *wink, wink*.

You cant give something back to someone who is long gone and dead. The first original people that lost America to settlers are long long long long gone. There is also know way of knowing if the Indians that were here back in those days would of still been here or had moved on or been wiped out by some disease or something. You cant give something back to the great great great grandchildren of the original people since there is no way of knowing if the originals still would of been on that land . If the settlers wouldnt of come and then ended up putting the indians on reservations the indians just might of moved to canada. What belonged to your ancestors does not belong to you unless it has been kept in the family and is left to you. But if they were to have lost it for what ever reason you cant come and say you want it back because it belonged to your ancestors. I think what your whole message is saying is that all this racial crap people keep fighting about and who has the rights to be here is really affecting you young kids and youd like to see it stop. Am I right or wrong?
I personally believe that where a person comes from is of no importance as long as they are productive and not hurting any one who cares where they come from. None of us has a choice where we are born or to what race we are born into. There was a time when no one owned or claimed any of this planet and people were free to go where they pleased. What I would like to know is when did what ever or whoever it was that created this big blue ball start to hand out property rights to people for them to call any of this planet as thiers. If everyone is so territorial then why does everyone travel all over the world? The illegals get blamed for everything but yet it is americans who are kicking back on welfare and getting medical and HUD housing. Illegals cant collect welfare .

Though I believe the native tribes should have more control in our government I say we do away with this silliness. If you were born in American you are a native American, Now lets start acting like we are of the same tribe and take care of each other, be respect full and defend this great nation. Though we have many different customs we can learn from each other what works in our lives. Unity makes our country stronger!

Great idea...but who are the real "indigenous people". Your petition might start a replica of the feud in Israel-Palestine over which of them is indigenous to the land. I believe you should start a petition to change the US policy on racism. That would be better and worthwhile.

Sweetie, get real. This is not going to happen, recorded history does not go back far enough to know what people were the first people to populate any piece of land.
Tribes conquered other tribes all the time, even in the Americas. If you go back far enough, you'll probably find that the native tribes of any piece of land died out thousands of years ago.

I understand what you are trying to say but think about your question. You say everyone in the USA to return to their native country........The USA, technically has only been around for 231 years (that's when the Declaration of Independence was signed) therefore anyone who is born in the USA since the signing is actually a "native". I was born here so were my parents and their parents. It is my native right as an American to remain here.
As far as my ancestry is concerned, there are many Americans who are descended from the English, I am one of them. My roots have been traced back directly to King Henry III (he would be a g-grandfather). I belong here and am proud to belong here and am also proud of my history. American of English Royalty descent. You and many others may not like it but that's who I am and this is where I will stay.
Tell me who you are?

If we all moved back to our country of origin, there wouldn't be many people here in the US. And how many of us would be split in 2, 3, or more pieces to do so? Let me guess? You're American Indian? Do you realize that without other people in this country, Indian tribes would probably not have survived as long as they have. And if it weren't the English and the Dutch settling here, someone would have eventually. America is a "melting pot" for a reason, let's leave it that way. That's what makes this country so great!

And where would you go? Would you leave too? Dummy. People conquer and take over lands. That's life. If you go through it apologizing for every mistake ever made, that is all you would do. Every culture has these things, move forward, not back.

Even the so called" Native Americans "came from somewhere else. So, there would be nobody left.
If we had to go back to our origins, looks like we all are going back to Africa, the cradle of civilization. Looks like it would get crowded.

No one would be left, not even the American Indians, because all people came here from another country. That sounds like something a sixteen year old would come up with.

My goodness you don't know much about history do you? Hope your prepared for alot of the same feelings at school you are getting here. Your negative feelings are the kind that we don't need & are not useful. Try coming up with a better petition...something on the positive side.
