It was definitely rude to push Mr. Pawar like that but I also think that we should let the leaders and intellectuals handle it in their subtle manner as this issue is related to international relationships. We should not forget that all Australians (I mean the team here) is not really known for its manners.

The pawar??? Its OK when you say 'the power'. But Mr. Sharad Pawar is the name of the Chairman of the BCCI. He is not an object or anything invisible.
Ponting and Martyn, Boothe exhibited rude behaviour. The former signalled to Mr. Pawar with his fingers, to hand him over the Champions Trophy. The latter shoved Mr. Pawar off the podium to make way for a group photo. Such behaviour is associated with drunken rowdies, not sober people, least of all cricketers.
Mr. Pawar himself is a very vindictive character and a power hungry politician, as we know him in India. Hope the incident has cut him down to size.

Ponting & Cricket Australia have apologised as well as Mr Pawar has accepted it, secondly BCCI din't have any plans of lodging a complaint even though he was the President.

Shall we leave this at that and carry on watching the game...

Martyn was wrong for pushing the guy off the stage, it was rude, but in all honesty, after seeing it again..

What was he doing in the way? He is not a player on the winning team, you present the trophy to the winning captain and you walk off the stage and give the people who won the space..

But Mr. Pawar just stood in the way the whole time..

While Martyn was wrong, Mr. Pawar did bring it upon himself.

"style is non everlasting, type is everlasting" Ricky Ponting is a a great batsman with some super attacking captaincy instincts & in all probability, the main secure pair of palms as a fielder. i do no longer think of Ponting could bypass away the Aussie squad,as they're already in hassle,& the absence of Ponting would bring about loss of adventure & wit interior the squad. Ponting is only out of style,he's present technique rigidity from all ends. he's already ideal the group,& then the Symonds debacle,he will bounce lower back. i think of that if Australia have any probability to hold their No.a million spot,Ponting can do it,the two with the bat & his captaincy.

Ponting, but now he asked Pawar to forgive him and he explained that" the Australian team had never done like this to any elders like Pawar before,as we were in the joy of victory,we did it .We have a high respect on you,so we didn't do it purposely. If it hurts you please forgive my team and me."

Shri Pawar's political Career may be in turmoil.

Therefore this also one way to get rid of one's frustration.

It is good for his (Shri Pawar's) health, but please don't be carried away.
