I wore a red dress to prom and when I went to mac cosmetics at the mall to get my make-up done, she put a silvery-gray eyeshadow on me, and it turned out beautiful. She told me when u wear red, u don't want 2 wear matching red eyeshadow, because you'll look over-done and u will take the attention off your dress. Hope this helps u. Work that red dress girl!!!!!!!!!

Eye shadow can not be solely based on what clothes you are wearing. You must actually match it to:
1. Your skin color
2. Your hair color
3. Your eye color
I provided a link to help you figure out what best suits you color wise. Enjoy and dont be afraid to experiment until you find that just right look ;)

I was a Devil for Halloween & I used an Urban Decay color of red called "Heat" with gold highlighter - it looked so good, that I've been wearing it with daytime red clothes

Personally, I would choose the 50s Hollywood glam look.
Creamy ivory eyeshadow, black eyeliner on the top eyelids and long, luxurious, thick eyelashes (preferrably false eyelashes if you have very fine ones) and red lipstick.

Look to your eye, brow, and skin color when you choose, not the color of your dress.

Go for one that suits your skin colour and tone, but my policy is if my clothes are dark my eyeshadow is light if my clothes are light my eyeshadow is dark. AND DONT WEAR RED LIPSTICK, choose a lighter one or a darker one but it musnt be red
