The essential difference between making love and sex is that before a man makes love he writes her name on her forehead in indelible ink so the next morning her remembers what to call her. Before two (or, ideally, more) people have sex there is no such requirement.

Making love is when you are with a partner that you have a complete 100% commitment to. That means to the values of your relationship. Honesty, trust, loyalty, selflessness etc.
If you commit to your realtionship 100% then when you enjoy a sexual relationship, you will know the definition of the term "Making Love".
I suppose that in sumary, when you give yourself to the person you have committed to, in a selfless act of togetherness and intimacy it is making love.
It isn't about: the back seat of a car, rolling on and off, thinking "I hope this or that happens tonight".
When your intimacy is not about the sexual act, then you will be making love. People often confuse a sexual act as making love, it is everything but. I would even go as far as to say, you can make love without intercourse.
I hope you get there. By the way, it helps if your partner has the same sort of commitment.

Love making is more about the heart than the act itself. It is the giving of body and soul to the person you love. It's a sharing that only people in love can feel. It is completely different from having sex..............

Bloody hell if I know. I think we males are more into doing it than evaluating if it is love, lust, or just feels great! Women seem much more touchy feely about it.
Better put by Lori: it is the heart, the emotions that makes the difference.

Well, true love making is making out with your real lover and it definitely feels extremely great. Just imagine you're doing it with your loved one, that's very memorable!

For a guy, it is not often our emotions are involved in sex as much as a woman. But on a rare occasion when a man's emotions are strongly involved in the act, it feels like a whole body orgasm inside and out.

There is making love and there is sex. Making love is where you are lost in the sensations and emotions of the union.
Sex is getting your own satisfaction with no regard for the other individual. Like another answer said, "sex is what animals do"

True love making is (according to most) when you and your soul mate have sex, and its meant to feel better than any other sexual experience you have had, and just feel right. It doesnt have to be fancy, could even be just missionary, but its where you "connect with someones soul". Hope that helps

Make love to someone you love. If you don't love a person then don't make love otherwise it is called making hate.
