Not at all. Tongue in cheek is facetious while tongue in cheeks in sycophantic.

GOOD QUESTION
EVEN I HAVE WONDERED ABOUT THIS PHRASE
'TONGUE IN CHEEK'
This funny-sounding expression indicates that someone just told a joke or isn't being serious! If someone says something "tongue-in-cheek," he or she is usually kidding.
It's believed that this saying was created by an English humorist in the 1800s. Most people have difficulty saying anything with their tongue in their cheek. But some people actually do stick their tongue against the inside of their cheek after saying a joke to show that they're only kidding.

No definately tongue in cheek, you can't put your tongue in both cheeks. Unless you have a forked tongue, could be correct for a snake though.

No. You can't get your tongue into both cheeks at the same time. Try it.

I have heard of tongue between the cheeks, but do not think that was about any lying.

You have an incredible way with this language. A friend of mine - Tun-gin Toocheex - Said - "Unfaithful man with forked tongue love with tongue in cheek and hump with tongue in Mistress".

NO
One is a response aimed at being a bit funny, maybe controversial
The other is just sucking up to the person who asked the question
