When do you know if you can believe the government of what they say? We never know the truth behind the scenes but to differentiate what they say is positive or negative. So, what can we trust and we should we not pin our hopes on?

The government is completely untrustworthy. Nothing told to us by the government or any government representative should be taken at face value. To be safe, always assume a lie until proven otherwise. You'll be right more often than wrong that way.

The framers of the US Constitution knew that government by nature is not trustworthy. That is why they designed such an inefficient system. Don't trust them, use your vote to stir the proverbial beans.
