Get some sleep (7-9 hrs per night) and some hobbies (preferably active hobbies such as sports, or mentally challenging hobbies). Doin excercise will help you sleep more effectively and (bizaarly) give you more energy plus it will give you something to do. Engage in challenging conversations with interesting people (most effective when your chatting with 'real people' i.e. not on net) that keep your mind active and challenging your world view. Also, dont sleep too much (over 9hrs per night) else your muscles break down and you will feel more lethargic and 'lazy'. Dont rely on stimulants to keep you alert, your body will rely on them too much to feel awake. Have fun and stay healthy - eat proper healthy food and be active. If you try this, and i mean really try it, and you're still tired then go to your doctor. As for being bored, can i just ask 'How?' we are in the 21st century and have more available to us than any society before us. Get out there and get active.

Being bored and tired don't make you bipolar. If you have manic episodes too, then perhaps you should go to your doctor to see whether you do. If you're mostly always bored and tired and down, it could be that you have depression, which is not the same thing as manic depression. Just because you've seen it on telly, it doesn't mean you're suffering from it too!

I'm bored and tired too but it's coz I have a shite job and a cold.

Bipolar disorder is a bit more complicated than that - massive mood swings with no reason, irrational behaviour - it's quite serious, but treatable so if you seriously think you have it you should go and see your doctor for a chat.

Its more likely that you have got SAD. Which is effected by the change of the weather etc.

Bipolar isn't about being bored and tired, its severe mood swings that go from one peak of being so happy and elated one minute and thinking you can do anything to being sad tearful and depressed the next.

Perhaps you just need some more excitment and entertanment in your life. You could try climbing a lampost and pretend you are stuck....? This is what I usually do when i'm bored or i end up staying in the house and doing silly things like stapling my lip to my eyelid.

Short, clear and simple; and you can even post your question and contact the author regarding particular subject you are interested in
