microsoft is like a fat man who keeps on eating...it wants to contro leverything...search, software, now zune...video games....

and in the process, they have revealed themselves to be heavily biased toward making things very inefficient, costly, and terribly monopolized...

why? why do they want to hurt the world by staunching its creativity by making everything so sagginly inefficient just so they can have more profit?

first that won't work...cuz they will fail as they have in everything against google...

if bill gates really wants to be altruistic, and not jsut make himself feel more controlling of the world (like giving money and feel like he is doing something good)...

if HE REALLY WANTS TO BE ALTRUISTIC...

he would give up his software code for free (this would increase global productivity a million fold)...dissolve his company......seperate compnay into more automonous and innovative, competetive parts...and hire more intelligent and qualified people...

hell...he could even pay his employees and the shareholders off...by goverment subsidies and his own pocket...

now that would really be altruism...

then he would have freed the software for complete code distribution and free of charge...increasing global productivity a thousand fold...then he could just keep on paying his update people by having the OPEN SOURCE community...especially hacker experts....call on security problems and patch them...instead of these gay *** mandatory patches by expensive under-talented assholes at microsoft.

I think the atmosphere in microsoft is not one of innovation but one of stupidity...and it started with the monopoly at the start...it should be re-structured...especially if bill gates really feels altruistic...going down in history as one of the greatest personal sacrifices of a "great man" instead of jsut an psychotic retarded ego-maniac that gives money to charity to make himself feel better as a gay homosexual.

the atmosphere at microsoft is one of inefficiency, and sagging under-talented developement...one where innovation is forgottten with the cushion of "well, were the biggest in software, we can muscle ourselves through to keep on earning profits for our share holders"...so they never broke the "intelligence barrier" the ywere just the first to come to market. ...making them innefficient and stupid in the long run by today's standards.

now is it really altruistic...to make the entire world retarded and lame...just to get more money to shareholders? why not become more innovative and really raise the QUALITY of the product...instead of just doing shitty jobs to gai nmore money...

why doesn't microsoft...really create a work of art...and then distribute it for free...and have the goverment make a final pay off to shareholders...

yea, this would screw over the shareholders...but it would benefit all of humanity--and in the process...individual innovative companies could make MORE

My only comment is that Microsoft stole from Apple . Mac was using "windows" many years before we even heard of Bill Gates or his company.

I really doubt it. First of all I really don't even seeing this being a feasible possibility until the Blu-ray/HD-DVD format war ends, which won't be for at least another year or 2. If HD-DVD did become the defacto standard, wiping Blu-Ray out completely, then, MAYBE, I could see a 360 with HD-DVD built-in, but it would still only be for movies - not games. Games will NEVER be on HD-DVD for this generation. Switching from DVD to HD-DVD for games would strand millions of 360 owners world-wide, causing a lot of negative feelings towards Microsoft and the 360.

they are not that bad. they could be worse. At least they made some products we can actually use. We wouldn't be able to write using a pen, on a laptop, if they didn't create some special OS to do that. We wouldn't be able to have a way to watch TV and intner videos on our PC's and Tv's without their media center. more than 90% of the world wouldn't even have a computer, if their OS didn't run it. Without them, we wouldn't be the same as we are today.
