sometimes the thickness of our uterus changes and gets thick. it'll cause spotting during activities such as sex, running upstairs, hitting a bump in the road. best to have it checked out to make sure.

This is not normal, but is quite likely not a big deal. It may be that you have some kind of an infection. It happens because of some soaps you use to wash or just because there is an imbalance in your body. Get something for it, don't leave it too long. It may be embarrasing to have it checked out, but it will be much more embarrasing once the problem becomes worse.

Perhaps his technique or your level of lubrication has changed.
If he has changed the regular style or roughness of penetration he could be causing you injury which would result in bleeding. In this case different positions or gentler sex may be advised to allow for some amount of healing.
If you have been sick or have somehow had a hormonal change it is possible that your level of lubrication may have diminished leading to higher friction and small tears during intercourse. If this is the case alleviating the root cause of your change of health and/or using additional store bought lubricant may reduce your bleeding.

bleeding after intercourse should always be investigated. The previous reply is correct but your cervix should be assessed even if you are not due a smear. Your doctor should also check for infection. If sexually transmitted disease is suspected then a sexual health clinic would also be appropriate

Lots of things in the uterus can cause bleeding, including fibroids (non-malignant tumors).
Don't panic --- okay? Vaignal bleeding after intercourse is relatively common. (See this website: http://www.emedicinehealth.com/cervical_cancer/page4_em.htm)
However, one common symptom of cervical cancer is abnormal bleeding. Here is a website that describes these symptoms:
http://www.emedicinehealth.com/cervical_cancer/page3_em.htm
Do get yourself checked out! And good luck...

Go straight to your GP. I experienced a similar experience, my doctor referred me straight to a specialist, got appointment within a few weeks and required laser treatment. 5 years later still got the all clear, so don't put it off, go asap. Good luck
