Only people with sick minds would distort a children's cartoon into a vulgar fantasy. Does everything have to be explained and does everything have to represent something else. No. The creators of the cartoon came out nationally and stated that No Spongebob was not gay. What a sick world we live in where our children are being told that a sponge is gay.

Is Donald Duck a pervert because he runs around without pants? Does that seem ridiculous, well so does Spongebob being gay. If anyone is gay it is Bert and Ernie, they have lived together for a looong time. So what if they are, Do you like Spongebob? If you do then why does it matter, its none of your business who he is buggering right? HEH HEH At least he is using the sponge!

That has to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. That's like saying Bert and Ernie are gay. Whatever!!! Would it be safe for me to assume you are "gay" if you spent a lot of time with one of your girlfriends??? I don't think so...this is a kids show. If it promotes anything its values and friendship and accepting people for who they are.

Well the shows creators claim Spongebob is not gay. Besides, why do we need to explain gay-ness to children? I think trying to explain sexuality to children may not be wise, it may just confuse the child. Lets kids be kids, lets not muddy the waters of their minds with adult problems.

inuendo, is in the eye of the beholder. If you want to see it, it is there. So what if they are, they aren't screaming in your face that you have to let them be or that you should change and be like them. Like it or not, people have a right to speach, art / cartoons are in expression of that speach. If the show falls within the guidelines of the FCC for public broad cast then so be it.
Besides contray to what some people might think, God created homosexuals too. Man wrote that this was wrong. I put my faith in God over man.

The show isn't geared for an audience that such issues would even matter. Seems to me like he's more of a cartoon version of Pee Wee Herman...
