look a watch...
there is 12 sings for hours
and there is 60 sings for minutes .... so you need to see more accurately that minute hand shows which minute sing...

I know! If it were the other way arround, it would be very hard to tell the minutes accuratelly. Since it's easer to spot between which 2 hours one of the hands is, than it is to spot which minute its pointing at, we use the small hand for the hour!

Because the minute hand does all the work ,whilst the hour hand is sat on its fat a*se being pushed around by the minute hand and doesn't deserve to be bigger, does it!!!!

because the hour comes before the minute does, and the second hand is smaller then that becuse it comes after the minute..

Because "hour" is a shorter word than "minute." That way you can distinguish the two.
