Personally, and this is just my opinion so please do rip into me...
I think she done a great thing. I think anyone that takes on a child and is prepare to give it all the love and support it needs should be praised. We are so quick to judge and say bad things about her but how many of us doing this have adopted a child themselves?

I completey aqree. my cousin was adopted from russia and adoption is a biq part of my family i feel no matter what if you are willinq to take in a child that you did not concieve and treat he/she like your own you are a good person for that, because more than half of the kids in orphanages are never going to be adopted in their life andx will have to fend for themselves when they turn 18, with no one to help them ...

I think Madonna was right in the thing she did. Adopting a child is wonderful, and more people should do it. Unfortunatly, it costs so much money to adopt a child, that ONLY people such as Madonna and Angelina Jolie can afford it sometimes. Also unfortunately, because they are big stars, the media always tries to find a way to twist their good actions around and find something wrong with them, because they want to win the headlines. This is not only unfair to the stars (who are regular people just like you and I) but it is also unfair to those around the stars (such as the children they are adopting). The media has got to stop being such a circus and start praising these people for the good hard work they do and the good deeds they deem are right and true. If I had the money and the room for it, I would adopt another child. I praise Madonna for her actions and also for standing up to those in the media and telling them to get their stories straight.

Off course Carrie..she did a right thing..she adopted a child n now gonna give her better life than before. What has she done wrong? Maybe maybe if she does soemthing wrong with the child in future but u cant blame anyone before the acts. She is Right.

How many people would adopt a child who is sick?
Madonna did.
Those Malawi organisations wanting to stop her are senile. Why would they want to prevent that adoption when they are incapable to prevent their children from dying?
It is cheer lunacy.
As for the media...
Those poor journalists need to sell newspapers in order to feed themselves at night. If they had nothing to write about, Madonna would probably end up having to adopt them as well.

she will give the child a fantastic life, doing lots of thing not many ppl get to do. i think if the child was older and asked to choose it would take madonna over a life in poverty. she can help that child reach it's full potential and then it can go back and help it's biological family.
imagine if more celebrities /rich ppl did that? think how many childen would be saved?

it might be just a publicity stunt, but beyond that adopting a kid is a major decision, and i think people who adopt kids are very good persons because raising kids is a hard job, especially when they are not ur own (biologically). so.....madonna has the right to adopt the kid, and since she's the only one who knows why she did it, we don't have the right to decide wether it's the right thing or not

I believe she has done it to get publicity and raise awareness of the Raising Malawi project (www.raisingmalawi.org) which she is a part of through the Kabbalah Centre.
If she was doing this because she only wanted to give this boy a family's love, then she would have adopted from a country where it was legal for her to do so.

i disagree i think she should of adopted a child without a family one that was homeless then adopted one that already had a family and i would adopted yes, but i would adopt a child that has no home or family when i older enough

I think any time you open your home/heart/life to a child in need, you've done a great thing no matter what. Good for her, I say. I agree with you.
