Instead of having democrats and republicans, if everyone was the same party then nobody would ***** about democrats and republicans.

It won't happen of course, but "IF" it did it wouldn't only happen if everyone aggreed, each candidate would still have their own belief, but everyone would just vote for who they think is the best candidate, not just because of what party they are, thats like saying that now if 2 democrats run against each other, they both have the same view because they're a democrat, it don't work like that. LOL

I think they tried this in Russia, Germany etc. So we have a lot of examples of this idea it lasted a very short time with maybe the exception of Rome.

We need to have two parties to keep each other in check. But the important issue is that both parties look at themselves as Americans first and to try to do what is right for America rather than to provide for their own constituents solely.

Have a Dem. President and a Repub. Vice president for four years, then switch for four years,vote every eight years.

People are going to have differing viewpoints. It's just in our nature. That is how these types of things evolved.
