excuses? no, but reasons? yes. You use excuses when you are not certain of why you are doing something.
The main reason why humans cheat is because we do not understand the real meaning of love and partnership. So then, and just then, we use all kind of excuses (that we do not feel loved or appreciated, that our nature is to be promiscuous, that we are afraid of losing our freedom, etc.)
So before asking about excuses or reason, it might be better for you to decide what is true and what is not, what works and what doesn't about your relationships and romantic life. God bless u

No. Bollocks with all the excuses of: Sorry baby, im drunk. it means nothing, i love you only. Or: I thought you dont want me anymore, etc etc etc.
Cheating is cheating. Be responsible and honest if you cheat on your partner, how will you feel if you partner is cheating on you?
PS. I hope you are not looking for an excuse to cheat your partner mate;)
Cheers

No there isn't. A person should call it quits and just get out of the relationship if he/she feels like cheating. I don't like my time wasted and I don't like to waste other people's time as well. If a man or woman feels like they want to do this then they just need to walk away from who their with. It's just game playing to me, and I don't have time for that.

I think nobody excuses for cheating or been cheated. Someone will be hurt and feels be betrayed because of that.
