For fun i did the chinese gender predictor and it told me that we were gonna have a girl. Well today we find out its a boy !! yay.. I kno this gender chart thing has worked for alot of ppl, is it possible the ultrasound was wrong? the picture wasnt very clear and she couldnt be 100% although she was very sure of what she was seeing? ... thanks

It is very common for people to be told they are having a girl when they are in fact having a boy. However, it is very rare to be told you will have a boy and then it ends up being a girl. The penis is usually very obvious and difficult to mistake. I'm pregnant with my third boy! I was kind of hoping for a girl but when at my ultrasound I saw the penis right away and the technician confirmed it.
As for the Chinese gender thing--this is my third child and that has never been accurate for me. Not once.

I would go with what the sonographer told you.....
unless s/he was very inexperienced or unless there is some sort of deformity, it is very rare for the sexes to be confused when a clear shot is found during an ultrasound.

i was told i was having a girl then at 32 weeks i was told it was a boy as we could see his genitals. (very big on the screen) so stupid me went out and got all girl stuff! and had a boy luckyly some of the things were green or yellow and blue not all pink!

well if the male part was there - there is no mistaking it- now I now 3 people that were told they were having a girl and had a boy- something was hiding!! They were happy- one already had 2 girls- D

Well, the sonographer could have trouble with seeing girls(if the fetus' sex organs are hidden), but if they told you "boy' then there was a positive ID (penis!) on the sonogram....congrats

my step daughter was told she was having a girl, so everyone went out buying "girly" stuff, then the day before the birth she went for a scan, and was told..."well, everything is finefor HIM to be born tomorrow!!!!! and a boy it was!!

My brother-in-law was supposed to be a girl according to the ultra sound his mom got. lol.

my neighbor was told that she was going to have a big girl... but out came twin boys... ha, ha, ha.
