Personality Traits?

I am doing a paper on the personality traits of transformational leaders. Can anyone recommend a good book on personality and personality traits for a layman? Psych is not my field so I am hoping to find a book that I can understand.

Two basics in the field are "Games People Play" and "Scripts People Live." They organize the basic transactional analysis style, which has become integrated into much of modern psychology over the years.
