My son's R300 isn't being recognised. USB detects that something is attached but doesn't recognise it as a printer. If I unplug his printer, and attach my own R300, everything is OK. I am able to print and all sorts.
Epson's online help was abysmal. They kept telling me to uninstall and reinstall the drivers. After my saying that the drivers must be installed correctly, otherwise why would it work with my own printer attached, I decided to follow their advice. Of course, it still doesn't work. I knew I was right all along.

Nope, I got no probs.... I use Continuous Ink, my ink is so cheap, its embarrasing. Save so much every time I get /use more ink (£20 for 45 carts worth) I can afford to buy 2 new printers
With your problem, mick, Epson is a pig to install correctly. Try this... Remove the software entirely, unplug the printer and reboot. Then, start to re-install, and when the software starts looking for printer, plug the printer in....not before.
