Both sides need to compromise alittle more. No one is better than the other. "Pick your fights" think about the long term effect of a disagreement....is it really that important? If not, then back away..if it is, then standfirm.

Where would be the fun in reducing the differences? A woman doesn't want to marry a man just like her, she wants to marry a man that compliments who she is & has strengths in the places where she has weakness. The question you should be asking is, How can communication be improoved between the opposite sexes. Someone whol interests you, challenges you to think outside you box & can make take a look at the world from another perspective is only achieved through these differences. Embrace them!

I am cynical and don't think we can. I don't think we ever will. Men are hardwired to oppress and connive, and women have learned to connive and manipulate as a survival tactic. Peace between the sexes will depend on 1) men stopping the bull___, and then 2) women forgiving and trusting them.
After the long legacy in mankind of men taking advantage of women, and especially after these very dark past twenty or so years with men in America basically treating women like garbage, the first option might be possible but I think the second one is a pipe dream.
By 2020 women will NEVER trust men again. That's a fact.

Why would anybody in their right mind want to reduce the differences? It's the differences that make the world go 'round! Feminists want to reduce the differences and look what happend (and still happens) to them...they become angry, unhappy and live unfulfilling lives. That should teach you something. Men and women were designed the way they were because that's how they best function. It's extreme arrogance to think we know better how we should have been made. It would be like letting your child tell you when he should brush his teath and go to bed...bass-ackwards.

You can not reduce the difference, but you can change the way that difference is used to divide and make it more about acceptance of that difference.

Why would we want to to that? Men are men, women are women, and that's the way it should be. Even when a woman has an equal education, a better-paying job, as much economic and social independence as most men, we still don't want either us or our men to lose the characteristics that make us different from one another.

If by "differences" you mean conflict, I'd say the best way to help the genders communicate is to realize that our gender roles are social constructs and have not always been set in stone, nor do they have to be in the future. Gender is a continuum that is not absolute, so assigning qualities to people of different sexes (e.g. all men are tough, all women are emotional) is pointless and merely illusory.

Be honest with yourself and others. Accept the differences that do exist and realize deep down we all want the same things but we pursue it differently. Understanding, compassion, and open communication helps.

i think the fact that they are opposite sexes, means there will always be a vaste difference.
but there is no need to limit our differences, because we should all have some unique qualities to our personalities, that we can learn to accept and explore.
