Has anyone been late for there period had a gut instinct they were pregnant but had a negative pregnany test even though they took it when there period is late?

My wife felt as though she knew she was pregnant even before she was late; three failed pregnancy tests later (over three weeks) and she changed her mind. However, a visit to the doctor the next week proved her, and the test, very wrong!!!!
Moral? Instinct shouldn't just be written off in the face of flawed false negative tests!!!

I am 10 days late and I am pretty sure I am pregnant - with all the symptoms and you just know basically that something is actually growing inside of you! I have taken more than 10 tests and they all came back negative except lately the last 2 tests I took have shown really light indication that I am pregnant - so I am hoping for the best and tommorrow I am going to see my doctor. Told him about my anxiety and he will help me sort things out - so let's see what happens tom! I am hoping that he could do a scan or give me a blood test to confirm that I am pregnant!

yes when I was late I took a test and it came out negative so then two days later I took another still neg and kept going like this I knew I was pregnant I could just sense it although I had no symptoms... so finally after being 9 days late I rang the doctors and the nurse advised me to take more more test the next morning and either way what ever the result was make and appointment with the doctor.. so the next morning ~I got up and did the test and I couldn't believe it there is was this very faint line and that was with a first response.. so the next day I did another and the line was darker.... !!! good luck trust your instincts.. but it could be that you want this so bad your body is playing tricks with you and delaying your period..

When I was 14 years old, I had unprotected sex and with the emotional complications time passed and I didn't pay any attention to the fact that I had missed 4 periods. One day I woke up in the afternoon and noticed my calandar hadn't been changed and then went to planned parenthood. They tested me many times and even did a blood test. They said I had a tumor the size of a softball!!!! (This was in 1983) well.... That softball was my daughter and that wasn't discovered until an ultrasound was done. This strange phenomenon happened to my younger sister as well when she got pregnant in 1987, I'm not sure if it's something to do with our genetic code or what, but my daughter who is now 15, has missed two periods, we are looking towards going to getting an ultrasound, due to one negative blood test and two negative urine test. I'm not playing with these doctors today, I'm demanding an ultrasound now. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the teenage body and the fact that it's not fully developed yet. but my motto is now " when in doubt get an ultrasound!"

your gut feeling is often an indication that you are pregnant
you can, get a false negative test
which shows you are not pregnant , #
when in fact you are .
Re- test in about 3 weeks time
there are many reasons why you miss a period
1 ]
Pregnancy
2 ]
stress & lack of sleep
3]
you are not well eg ...flue or undiagnosed diabeteis...etc.
Go and visit your doctor for ;
confirmation of your pregnancy .
and also for a general health check

Yes it can happen but not common for some pregnancies not to show on a urine test

There are mutipul things that can cause your period not to come on like infections or cancer starting up ect.... i had problems to and i went to the doctor they spoted abnormal stuff in my uturus and it so happen to be cancer forming I'm not trying to scare you but u need to seek doctors help sap....

It is unlikely to get a false positive, but very likely to get a false negative.
Get a blood test.

the hormones may not be strong enough to detect yet
try again in a few days-even a faint positive is a positive....
