Recently, I posted this question and received some truly awful songs... Cottoneyed Joe by The Rednecks, Jimmy Cracked Corn (and I don't care) by who ever the F$@# wrote that piece of crap...
My point... I want to build a collection of songs... horrible, horrible songs. Not "ha ha" horrible, but true abominations to the music industry. The type of song that makes you leave a room to have a cigarette, even if you don't smoke.

the chrome plated megaphone of destiny - frank zappa
union federal - phish
afternoon of a sexually aroused gasmask - zappa
babe - styx
all i really wanna do - bob dylan
revolution 9 - the beatles
cat scratch fever - ted nugent
anything off of the grateful dead's "terrapin station" album
the nancy and mary music - zappa
anything off of pink floyd's "the final cut" ( it's an abomination, the worst cd by a great band ever)
several songs off "his satanic majesty's request" by the stones, there's a few good tracks, but mostly it's psychedelic cr*p

You've picked some of the worst songs by each artists. Wonderwall? Really? Oasis have plenty of brilliant songs, Wonderwall is not one of them. Try Live Forever, Let's All Make Believe, Cigarettes and Alcohol, The Masterplan, Gas Panic, Morning Glory, Underneath the Sky, Up in the Sky, Supersonic etc. Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored? Really? It's a good song, but incredibly simplistic lyrics, Stone Roses have amazing lyrics and you pick that one? Love Spreads, Sally Cinnamon, Waterfall, She Bangs the Drums, I am the Resurrection, Your Star Will Shine, (Song for my) Sugar Spun Sister, Tightrope, etc. Guns 'N' Roses - Sweet Child 'O' Mine, is a good song, but definitely not their best. Slash hates it because it was a game not a song they were doing. My Michelle, Nightrain, Welcome to the Jungle etc. there are so many better songs Also I think you've left out a lot of lesser known bands/songs that are arguably far better than some on here. Try not repeating the same artist (Radiohead..) a lot of times and try to find other bands to fill the gaps. Manic Street Preachers, White Stripes, Libertines, Kasabian, Kinks, Arctic Monkeys, The Coral etc. If you were trying to pick the bands most famous song then you can't really credit it as their "best song". If you wanted to call these the "most popular" or "most influential" perhaps then it may be more appropriate.

Anything produced by pretty boy, 'all we can do is dance and mime' boy bands, any cover from an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, all 'dance' remixes of otherwise decent songs, any Queen song that Brian May and Roger Taylor have allowed to be bastadised by crappy little nobodys and finally Ronan Keatings sh*thouse karaoke rendition of Iris.
