Help with my story!?
Charlotte goes under the gaurdianship of her distant cousin, Mr. Rutherford. (What should is character be like?? The "arrogant and cold" kinda character seems too cliche these days.....but then I don't want him to be a friendly gentleman. Doesn't work out with me) Charlotte falls in love with him.......but why shouldn't Mr. Rutherford fall in love with her?? She's 16 yrs old at this time, and when he leaves her, and returns from Paris 3 years later to see she's all grown up he falls in love with her??? I don't know, give me to physcological reason of why Mr. Rutherford shouldn't like Charlotte in the beginning. Like....he likes her......but not enough??

Mr Rutherford should be quiet, non emotional with a look of saddness in his eyes, but caring and nice. for instance this young lady goes out on a date but things dont go to plan and she is let down, coming home crying all she wants is a cuddle and to be reassured, but this is not for rutherford, so she goes for a bath to relax and when she goes into her room there is a single white rose on her bed with the words "no matter what you will always be special to me, R. with the rose she goes back down stairs to thank him and he is just sitting watching TV she walk in he looks up gives a little smile and carries on watching TV but at this moment he offers her some popcorn he is eating and they sit together and watch TV. at this point it is the little things like this that make her feel special and she falls for him, but what you could do is that he lost a loved one in the past and he is afraid of feeling to much so he does not get hurt again.

then she goes off and during this 3 years he gets a blast from the past gets over his loved one (which could be his son) realizes that he misses Charlotte as he wants to release this new found freedom but she is not there to share it, and then he gets word she is coming back blah blah blah.

if you write a book or get a movie deal get in touch i want my share hee hee

possibly Charlotte could have tourettes and mr rutherford doesnt find swearing a turn on but he eventually gets conditioned to it and everytime she swears like a trooper he gets a right st1ffy

or she could have no limbs and wets herself frequently. both work.

He married to lady with terminal cancer and is confined to the bed. He is extrememly devout to her and while his eyes did notice young Charlotte there was nothing his morals would let him do. Plus he was banging his driver Mr.Jackson.

He likes her but something tragic happened and he closes himself off emotionally. Or she is too pushy and arrogant and he is put off by it and while he is gone something bad happens to her and her personality is tamed and all the feelings he kept back before cannot be stopped! <3
