I have used Ebay for quite a while but I always workout what my maximum bid will be taking into account the postage costs. If the seller doesn't give postage costs I email and get a cost. If I know I can't purchase the item where I live then I will go a little higher. I hardly ever buy anything with the tag "Buy it Now".

For some people it's not amusement to shop at ebay.
Have a price and a brand in mind and do the bidding and not more.
Sometimes you get a real bargain, it takes some time to figure out ebay.

like everything else, buyer beware. I have bought a lot of pop up books on ebay and some as cheap as a penny. My husband bought a used cadillac on ebay, and is very satisfied with it. Just depends on being a careful buyer.

I recently saw someone selling some floor wipes exactly the same as I had seen in Poundland. He was selling for £1.99 and charging £1.50 to post.

It's just business I suppose. Everyone has to make a living.

It can often be cheaper - If you include travveling costs etc.

It is sometimes hard to find items that are for sale off the internet. It is also easier than traveling to get the product.

Many people are just caught up in the "I bought it on ebay" trend - showing off their PC prowess! ebay established its reputation as a cheap place to shop, which sadly isn't the case anymore.

These people are out to SCAM - I stay well clear and only bid on private sellers.
I myself sell things on Ebay and would never try and fleece anyone, it's just not right!

You don't have to bid for an item if you think the postage is too high.
E-bay is an auction, not a shop!
