free antivirus program?ad-aware keep some data hidden and protected from antivirus scanner..but for me,other than avg, avast is also a very good antivirus program..i've use an avg before,some it's not that good,ad..it sometimes cannot detect the virus,and sometimes when the next time i scan my computer again the virus is still there...the program also late in updating the database on current virus detection,recovery and delete a virus..
Now i use Avast,it update regularly and often..it deletes the virus that is in the memory or system before the computer start booting..other than that it also provide you with on-access scanner which is based on so-called resident providers and scans whatever application on..in other word, it protect your specific subsystem such as file system and mail.

avg free edition. It is easy to use and reaguar updates and detects viruses that other virus scanners don't.

Please try AVG anti-virus - they have just purchased another makers program rights and for a free program its rated as one of the easiest to use and also doesn't hog system resources. www.grisoft.com look for version 7.5
