Boston Public was a spinoff from The Practice but not all of the current characters and actors were in that show. The characters played by William Shater (Denny Crane), James Spader (Alan Shore), and Rhona Mitra (Tara Wilson) were all in The Practice. I am sure there were more but I can't remember them

William Shatner and James Spader's characters were in the final series of The Practice, also written and produced by David Kelley. I didnt watch the show but I believe that Crane Poole and Schmidt took over the old firm and most of the original cast were fired.
This surgery didnt work and the series died.

You are right about The Practice. Connie Zinmmer was on InJustice last year with Kyle McLachlan, who is evil Orson Hodge on Desperate Housewives now.

"Boston Legal" is a spin-off from "The Practice"... when The Practice went off the air, a few of its characters migrated to BL.
