The majority of the acts produced by the music industry over the last 10 years are toilet - that's why Status Quo and all the other 'older' generation bands are still around. Where are the big stars and bands to replace the existing ones? I don't see any. The music industry is to blame for the incredibly bland music, there are no 'angry' young people in the industry, just boring politically correct trash. The TV companies with their ridiculous pop-star programmes are also partially to blame.

If they enjoy playing and the audience are prepared to pay to see them, I can see no good reason to deprive them of their income or the simlarly ageing audience the opportunity to relive their halcyon headbanging days. The person posing the question appears to have the arrogance of youth, but I assure you that fun is not your exclusive domain. Who would you next put out to grass Pink Floyd ? Aerosmith ? Oscar Peterson ? Al Jarreau ? Sting ? Paul Weller ? I think at the end of the day you can leave the bands and the audiences to decide whether or not there is the will and the demand for the next volume live '12 Gold Bars'. I don't think they need your advice on what is and what is not embarrassing.

Definitely not - or at least not until I've been to their gig in Manchester next month!
Quo are another band who give ppl value for money and have a huge fanbase. They are living legends, like The Who, Pink Floyd, Stones, etc etc
While there are ppl around who get great pleasure from listening to them, let them play! There is room out there for all sorts of music and we should respect that.
Now if you were to ask should rappers or modern r&b artists be forced to retire.....

Noooo. Don't make the old boys retire. They're 'churning' out far better stuff than many youngsters. Rock on Quo!

The must be good money to be made on the seniors tour, they could gig all around Britain in old folks homes. Sure most of their fans would be living there at this stage anyway. Centenary tour 2007, start saving the butter coupons !

given that you feel quo should go, who do you feel could or should replace them - presumably some talentless pile of cack invented in a studio that will dissapear in a couple of years but trhat dont matter because your presumably around 12 and you will have another talentless hero next to keep you amused, as for the silly bint who hides her hubby's cd, you my dear would be out of the door same day - i hope he finds out soon.

As with most singers/bands, the time to quit is when people stop buying your music.
The time to stop touring is when you can't sell enough tickets to cover your costs.
While people want to see/hear them they should carry on....Not that I am a fan!
