Who should be more important? My girlfriend of the past 3 years, almost 4 now, with whom I've shared a great deal of life? Or my best friend, who I love like a sister? While I love them both, it seems more and more like I will have to make a whole-hearted commitment to one or risk losing them both.

To clarify a few details: My g/f and best friend know each other, and get along quite well (sometimes too well, lol). Also, when I stated I love my best friend, it seems many people have been reading something sexual into that. It's not - she's more like a sister to me

REMEMBER... For so many years u haf go through so many highs n lows wif her. She's always there 4 u. U should not betray her trust. A ger's heart is like glass, very to be broken.
Think properly, think carefully.
Try sitting down wif her to slove ur problems. Should always talk with her.
Nobody can help u. Only u n her can solve this 2gather!

Both are important. You just treat them as well as they should be. Best friend as best friend and girlfriend as girlfriend. Let them know each other. It's better than you hide them each other. If then they hate each other, so it's not your false if you choose your girlfriend and loose your best friend as well as you don't play love with both of them.

If you have been together almost 4 years, your girlfriend and best friend should be the same person. Your best friend should realize that and step back.

You should know the answer! It's not a matter of years but it's what you feel towards the person.
