I presume you have basic knowledge of english and want to improve?

The best thing to do is: READ A LOT OF BOOKS!

Start with simple comics like Tinkle, Asterix, Tintin etc.
That will help you get into the basic habit of reading books.

Then once you feel fairly comfortable with reading books for sometime, you can migrate to the next level: reading novels.

Here again, you can start at a lower level. Start with books by Enid Blyton. Then once the habit of reading novels sets in, slowly expand to other authors and more matured novels.

Though this is a multi-stage process, it will surely have results. SURE. 100%!

To speed this up, you should also practice speaking in English. WITHOUT FEELING EMBARRASSED AT THE THOUGHT OF MAKING MISTAKES. The more you practice, the better will your fluency become.

In this regard, I think it's a nice idea to voice chat with people on the net - anyway they don't know you; so it wont matter even if you do not talk good english.

Do all this with patience, and am sure you can see the difference yourself!

And what's more! You can test your improvement yourself!

Take some story/incident and narrate it in English, extempore - without preparation. Record it in your phone/system.

Do this once every month.

After a few months if you compare two or three recordings, you can easily judge the improvements you've made.

A decade ago to learn English, you had to attend costly English classes or purchase course material like tapes and books. Now you can learn English for free from the comfort of your home using the Internet. The BBC and the British Council offer a number of on line courses, which teach written and spoken English. You can also improve your English by watching television programs and reading English newspapers. For more information, visit http://tinyurl.com/qnzpt
