The question is which is best at what.
If you want to play games, get a PC. (A laptop if you want portability)
If you want some serious business Kit or video editing / DTP get a Mac mini or a Powerbook.
During an average week I use all of them - The old addage is use the right tool for the job!

I have an iBook G4 and it's great! As long as you don't want to play really serious games, get a mac because you can do everything on them! If you are thinking of getting a portable (laptop) then get a mac. They are smaller, lighter, more powerful and come with great bundled software. PC should not be scared of switching to mac, because you don't need a manual to use Mac OS X! It's really straight forward!

It depends what you want to use it for.
I've got a Mac PowerBook G4 as I use it for applications like Quark, Photoshop and Illlustrator - it's brilliant for them, as it's 'industry standard'.
However, I've also got a PC for the more basic applications (Word etc) as my Mac doesn't support these. Translation between the two can be a problem without specialist software. Some websites also don't work as well on the Mac.
Obviously the Mac is better looking - very sexy - but in the end, it's up to you and your needs.

ok well im all for mac. I have both and i use my macs way more. I have a Power Mac G4, an intel imac and an ibook. I love my imac for the fact that with a program called crossover office you can run your windows based programs straight from inside OSX. Before this software came out i dual booted using bootcamp between windows and OSX so i could play half life 2. I definatly think the new intel based macs are the leaders of the pack.

You know better than we do coz everything depends on your preferences and usage.
I'm agree with Dr Green. Laptop is a portable computer and it is essential during travelling around but coz of its tiny and handy, the memory or the capacity of laptop usually below than normal or average PC.
If you're looking forward to install a lot of programmes, applications, softwares, games and nevertheless your works, PC could make it better as most PC could be upgraded easier than laptop. Plus, PC is durable rather than laptop which requires handling with care...
Regarding to MAC/MACINTOSH, I could not answer coz I'm using Microsoft for my laptop. The reason why I choose laptop is, I could bring it everywhere especially during my holidays to do my assignments at home.

I use a PC laptop and a PC, I like them for the range of programs available and the cost of programs/parts which are lower than for Mac.
However, I have worked on macs and they dont suffer from the constant hacking, virus and spyware attacks that PCs get and they are much more stable and reliable.

definately MAC. I have an i Mac G5 and my bro a powerbook. most of them already come with the soft ware you will ever need. i used to have a PC, and since using a MAC I CANT GO BACK. THEY DONT CRASH...ever AND they are far simpler to use.
and they look fabulous too darlin! lol!

I wouldn´t purchase ether of them if i become you. Macs are greater effective for image/video modifying than abode windows based workstation, in case you dont purchase any application for the abode windows based. yet while paying for a mac, you pay alot for the type, and you finally end up getting little application for you cash, this does too count quantity with dell. different than which you get a sprint greater with the help of paying for a dell, yet nevertheless a type. companies likke dell,asus,acer, hp and such are merely the onces who positioned the workstation mutually, so merely purchase the workstation with the suitable hardware for the suitable value.

Either one has it's uses. I use a Mac.
