If you are building an empire then staying at home defeats the object as it wouldn't really be an empire in one teeny tiny corner of the globe now would it! Set your sights high, aim for world domination! and to do that you have to travel I would say, as then you can work out the best place to start.... one word of warning though I also am building an empire and I will take no prisoners so I suggest you make yourself ready for battle (either that or don't tread on my empires toes!!!!)

Who says you are not able to combine the two.
As you travel put into place the empire building modern technology is available to use computers etc!
Enjoy all the experiences of different cultures and maybe integrate what you learn with the building of your empire.
Look at the Romans a fantastic nation that built the empire while on foot marching.
Have a good time
One word of warning: The Empires throughout history have crumbled so take it as a lesson as to what could happen.

I'd say go travelling for a year. Building your "empire" can always wait for a bit. Plus there's the chance it may get so big, you'll never again get the oppurtunity to take a whole year off and forget about the rat race for awhile.

I say travel the globe for a year. You can learn so much from the different people you meet, get to see how other people live, and appreciate what you have instead of what you don't have. I believe if you travel that will open up your mind and heart to all that is possible. You will make great friends, eat great and different foods, appreciate other people for who they are, as well as have the adventure of your life. Good luck

Travel, travel travel! That way you can see which part of the world you want to create your empire....and can I have a job? I always wanted to be part of an empire!

building an empire would take a very long time ,as you would know that ...if i were you? i would travel as to know what all is available in the world and especially to learn what business is all about ? besides ? once you have decided to really think of your future ? you may not have the time to travel?
what are your priorities ?

I would normally say build your empire, but travel to gain wisdom. Use the wisdom to help you build your empire later.
