I'm opening up a can of worms here, but if you can name a team of NBA All-Stars from any era, who would be your starters and who will be your bench? Your starters must have two forwards, two guards, and a center, and your bench can have no more than 8 (excluding the starters).

Hmm.. that's hard..
Anyway whis is what I got..

C - late 90s Shaquille O'Neal (You know Wilt might be the answer because he got a 100, but do you think the defense we have now was there in the 60s?)

PF - Tim Duncan from 2002 (They say he's the best power forward ever so I'm picking him. Plus he's a great team leader.)

SF - Larry Bird (Small Forwards need to hit the three, and Larry is perfect for the spot. Plus he can dish too.)

SG - Michael Jordan (Do you think there should be a reason for this?)

PG - Magic Johnson (He has the same ability of a point guard, but his added height gives him the edge.)

Bench:

4 Guards:
John Stockton
Steve Nash
George Gervin
Gary Payton(in the 90s, we need a strong backcourt defender)

3 Forwards:
Kevin Garnett(no doubt he is the most versatile player I know.)
Scottie Pippen(When him and Jordan are in the court, almost unstoppable)
Karl Malone(Stockton needs a man who can pass to, and Karl is perfect for the job)

1 Center(We have plenty of big men so one center is enough)
Wilt Chamberlain(Like I said, 100 points)

G -- Magic Johnson
G -- Oscar Robertson
F -- Dr. J
F -- Larry Bird
C -- Bill Walton

This team would be fast, could pass and score. I picked Walton for his passing skills over some of the other greats to build a 'team.' These guys are all team players (I'd have liked Shaq but he's too ego-centric) - I want my team to compliment each other.

Bench
Jerry West
E. Baylor
Kobe Bryant
Jabbar
Stockton
Malone
Bill Russel
Tim Duncan

Heh -- hard to imagine my bench players on the bench, maybe one set could play the first half and the other, the second!

My prerequisite for All-Stars is that I had to have seen them play in their prime. My team would have Magic Johnson at point; Michael Jordan at shooting guard; Scottie Pippen at small forward; Larry Bird at power forward; and Hakeem Olajuwon at center. The eight people off the bench, regardless of position, would be Dwyane Wade, Jason Kidd, Ray Allen, Dirk Nowitzki, Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill, Gary Payton, and Steve Nash.
