i put him into a local hamster show and he won it, the little cutey. but since then his head has grown soooo big i just dont know what to do! should i go and get his balls loped off, will this bring him down a peg or two?

I'm assuming you're talking about him becoming very proud of himself and not his head physically growing.
Nuetering him isn't a horrible idea, but it's expensive and is it really worth it? Honestly, he's a hamster, so what if he's full of himself? Maybe a little less praise (still as much attention though, just not so much sweetsy talk about how cute he is) would work? I don't know if hamsters are capable of understanding human speech that much, though.

Your question makese no sense.
I participate in small pet shows, and the hamsters have no idea what a ribbon is or 1st place.
And most vets will not neuter a hamster, so "lopping off his balls" is silly.
