It also helps if the person giving the bottle isn't the mother, who from what is sounds is breastfeeding. Have the father, or, if he isn't available, a sitter or relative, give t the bottle. The baby will take it if (s)he is hungry enough. Good Luck.

Have you tried a sippy cup? My cousins daugter refused a bottle at 4 or 5 months & her doctor said to try a sippy cup, she ended up using the 1st stage Avent cups. The answer below says to put honey in the bottle, honey is TOXIC to children under 1!!~!

Are you nursing and trying bottle so you can work? if so, i would recomend a soft spouted sippy cup with your milk in it.

Otherwise i would stick with the breast!-) My babies hated bottles and never drank from them!

Try either a beaker or you could carefully get her/him to sip the milk out of the bottle cap. My mother did that with my two sisters.

You Are supposed to breast feed until 6 months slowly start taking him off the nipple
