I don't know about the ovulating thing...my first was a happy surprise, and my second we left to nature....which was one week after I stopped breat feeding.
But with the stress...it simply means that you body has to work that much harder. Your body is putting everything it can to combat the stress, so it can't work well in other areas. Hope that oversimplified answer helps

Being stressed interfere with the hormone coordination that your body goes through in order to ovulate. There is a whole lot of hormones involved for a woman to ovulate.
If you know when you are going to ovulate, it is best to have sex about 4 days before ovulation and have sex at least every other day for at least a week. This will make sure that you "hit" your ovulation day.
Good luck.

honestly there is no safest day, really. You never know what your body is going to do, it may even release an egg twice in one month- this does happen and not evey women knows it. You can get pregnant at the beginning of your period, since the egg may still be laying there and it can get fertilized, you can get pregnant the last day of your period also, since the seprm live in you for a few days you may ovulate earlier than you think and then become pregnant. Your most fertile time is around day 14, but NOT for everyone, even when that may be an accurate timing, there still is some months that the little egg just so happens to do what it wants, what God's got planned for you. So honestly anytime you have sex you can get pregnant, condom or not, birth control or not, there's still a chance.

STRESS - the confusion created when ones mind over-rules the body's basic desire to choke the living **** out of some asshole who desperately deserves it! As for conceiving when stressed I don't know, but I have heard that women find it harder to fall pregnant when they are desperately trying. Relax! Abstain from having sex 7 days before you are due to ovulate, which is approx 14 days before your next period - but if you are not regular that is hard to calculate. Good Luck!

I'm not sure I believe that stress affects the ability to become pregnant. I spent the first half of this year in a crisis. I was in tears every day and I was facing one hardship after another. I ended up in therapy. I've never faced that kind of stress before in my life. And yet, I ended up pregnant! I'm now 23 weeks along. I've heard people talking about stress being a big factor in fertility. If it really is then I must be fertile to the extreme because I was under heavy stress.
I do believe that diet plays a big role. No one wants to listen to my theories on that one though.

Stress can cause your menstral cycle to be off, thus making it hard to calculate when you are ovulating. The best thing to do is to have sex starting about 10 days after the first day of your last period, and continue...every other day through day 16.

One reason that being stressed could cause you to be less likely to become pregnant is that your body will naturally try to defend itself. This referred to as the flight or fight syndrome. Too much stress can cause your period to stop all together or even make you bleed more often or vary the flow. As for how often you should have sex, every other day after the last day of your period. Women generally ovulate about two weeks after their period. Also do not perform oral sex on your partner as the saliva will actually kill off the sperm.

Stress hormones can affect ovulation. It can be late or doesn't occur at all. But it doesn't always affect everybody. My friend got pregnant during a very tough time. Exercising can help you cope with stress.
Have intercourse before it's almost positive and then do it every other day.
