There are tonnes of people from our country that have dual citizenship, but live somewhere else. They pay no taxes here, but can get gandma in to collect pensions. They add nothing to our culture, because they live in another country, but they come here for health benefits. They don't have to live with the reamifications of their political votes, but they still are asked who should lead us.

Is this right?

And just for fun, what if their country and ours, the very two countries to which they claim aligiance to, were to go to war? What if both had a draft?

I have dual citizenship, as does my husband and children, it's just easier for us to go back to our country of origin. Nope never been on welfare, never was on unemployment, and I don't think we will ever be at war with the U.K. and I give as much to my country as you have. Statistically, naturalized citizens take more welfare than dual citizens or any other immigrant for that matter.

My husband has dual citizenship and if the government doesn't see it as a problem why should anyone else. He is a citizen of both the United Kingdom and the United States.

He has contributed to both societies - in England when he lived there and now here in America with me. Aside from that he is too old for any military drafts in either country.

A good person is a good person no matter what country they are a citizen from. The government decides on a case by case basis and judges the person - not using blanket generalizations.

Good question. Used to be (not sure if it's still the case) that to gain US citizenship, you had to forsake allegiance to any other country.
