I mean, is he really the loser, rolling that boulder up the hill?
Weird, but my English prof and I were talking about it from an e.mail she'd recieved.

I though it was interesting.

In the sense that he accepts his fate and knows that there is nothing more that the Gods can do to him,yes.

Sisyphus was really a loser for his act of rolling down the rock, for whihc only he was punished in the underworld.

Sisyphus , in Greek mythology, was a king punished in the underworld by being set to roll a huge rock up a hill throughout eternity. The name is traditionally connected with sophos "wise"; but this has etymological problems-.

There are lots of Sisphys out there trying and trying to do things that will never come to fuition. No he never is.
