It would be great if the US got a woman president.!!
Going to war is not a decision that a president can make without the consent of the other representatives in the congress and the senate. There has to be rationale behind the decision. Even the other major powers of the world should express consent if a country has to go to war.
So, a woman president is not going to make a difference on matters of war.
What matters is public opinion that is expressed. If America was really against war, why is it that American people, who have been calling Bush a 'cowboy', 'dangerous', and holding him responsible for the war, have not expressed opinion in the form of silent protests and demonstrations etc in large numbers (say a million people at a public rally)?
If there were demonstrations like that, rather than a few stray expressions, it would have been appreciated by the world.
But America which boasts of liberty and decomacracy would never do such a thing due to false pride.
It is the American citizens who have voted Bush to Power that have to be blamed.
A talk about change of leadership is irrelevant now.

I don't know what this country would be like under a woman president, but I'd sure as hell like to find out. The all male good old boys club has screwed things up so badly over the last 100 + years that I think it'll take a woman to get America back the respect from the rest of the world that has been so lacking these past few years.

Yes certainly theoritically a woman can be a president of USA if she has an extensive influence to the nation and she was proposed by a political party as a candidate of the president and she got more votes than other candidates.I think if USA has a woman president there will be a peace in this world and no terrorists because she will govern the people of USA and this world by love. She will withdraw the US arm forces from other countries in Afghanistan and Iraq. She will not command for attacking Iran.

If your not being sexist explain the part about going to war every month-anything to do with a monthly cycle by chance? Anyway, women have shown capable leadership-Do I really need to give you a list?
Here are a very few of the many-Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher, Condi Rice, Cleopatra, the many Queens of Europe, and many Biblical women were in positions of authority-like a said-these are just a few more than competent examples.
Do you think decision making is better left to the male mind? Most of the great male leaders were or are directly influenced by one or more women.

What would it be like with a woman president?
Well my personal feeling is as follows.
Should there be a qualified/prov-en candidate, one who has America as her no 1 priority, I would say our chances are very good of becoming the nation we all wish it to be.
On the average; a woman can hold and feed a baby on one arm, while with the other hand she making dinner, part of her mind focused on helping the kids with homework, while she is talking on the phone to her husband and putting up with a "screwy" mother in law and all this as I said at the same time.
Well then, in my opinion she could also do a very good job as chief executive also. Women are not "war-mongers" by nature. They are hard working, loving, caring, attentive individuals. Well I blubbered enough I think, but I had to make my point. I would vote gladly for the "right"- "qualified" woman candidate. That is of course, if we ever give any woman the chance to show their abilities in politics also.

"I'd like to see Condi Rice be the next president. I believe there could be less war if our enemies had women leaders also."
You're a tool. Kindasleeza Rice would NOT be a good president. She's a freaking dip. If you've ever watched her press conferences on the news, she evades all the questions and acts like a general idiot.
Oh yeah, women presidents would never get anything done because God hath decreed that his people should be "governed by the man's hand, and the man's hand alone" :EXODUS 4:12
I'm a radical Evangelist, as you can tell. Women have no place in church or state.
Tool. Hail Satan.

I think we would be more sensitive to the effects of war. But look out if crossed. As for going to war every month it is likely this would be an older woman and past menopause. And I doubt is she would have interns under the desk as some presidents have. SHE would take the office and country best interests very seriously and not be an ego manic to use the office for her depraved antics.

Okay you asked so her goes. YOur assuming that every woman pms's ever month therefore it would be war. However some woman are postmenopausal therefore you don't have to worry about a war everymonth. Here is another plus We only think with one head therefore we can keep on mind on the problems that we are facing instead of what the pages are wearing. (applies to both parties here) Just stating facts here.

I think that you listen to a lot of things that are based on nonsense. Do you know when Condaleeza Rice is in menses? Most women who are considered for the office have already reached menopause and don't have a menses. 2. Having a perceptive person good in communications is not a bad thing either. I think it isn't the gender as much as it is who is the person and can they handle the Job. I don't' care the gender as long as they can do the job.

Man or woman, the US President makes decisions and acts as Chief Executive not on the basis of his or her gender or sexual orientation. Sex shouldn't matter.
A world superpower such as the US needs a leader with strong moral convictions, action-oriented attitude, and a humane perspective on matters of warfare, diplomacy, taxation, commerce, etc.
We should look into his or her mental framework--where or how does he or she stand on certain policy issues which can make or break America and the rest of the world.
