U 48, I think this is one of the reason cause this. More and more older , men will get soft erection. It's hard for men to keep it stiff forever. So u don't worried about it so much provided that u can still have sex and come .
However , the stress life will effect this prolem, Do u work so hard and not relax? The work, family, boss... are not like u want?
Talk to yr wife, u and her will find the way to improve it. and i know she know the ways to make u feel like before

Something I just recently learned: Starting in their 40s, men begin to lose muscle mass, and this increases as they approach 50. (Me, well, let's just say I'm no longer approaching 50, I'm departing from it. :-)

Muscle mass is related to testosterone production; as muscle mass drops, so does the body's available testosterone, which is the stuff that makes it all happen. So if you haven't been to the gym in a while, consider lifting weights.

As purely anecdotal support for this: in my mid-40s I started going to the gym because I needed to lose weight and start getting my heart back in shape. I noticed after a few months that sex started feeling better; I assumed it was because my cardiovascular system was in better shape and I was stronger and had more endurance, but it was better even when I was passively enjoying sex. And if I didn't go to the gym for a couple weeks, it seemed as though sex just wasn't as exciting or as pleasurable as it was.

Recently I learned about the testosterone/muscle-mass connection and the penny dropped. Sounds like I'm going to be a lifetime member of Bally Total Fitness...

I would recommend to check your testosterone levels they decrease with age and also think if there is there is a psychological issue such: disputes with your wife or stress at your work, leave all that behind the dorms door and try new things everything is permitted as long as she wants to participate.

it is nothing to worry about. a soft erection has to do with age and lack of blood flow to the penis. herbs that can help are, yohimbe. i would try that first. ginko can help too. a product out there called natural V has about 18 ingredients, including yohimbe, that can help maintain blood flow to the penis. nautral V is about $30. you can buy yohimbe all by itself for about 10 bucks (USD). a knowledgeable staff at any "natural living" store should be able to help you out.
