No they cant. All swordtails are born with female characteristics and as they mature the male part (gonopodium) develops.

No they cannot. It may sometimes appear as if the older females turn into males because they have grown the male parts. However, they cannot actually produce fry like a male and therefore are still considered female.

Females change to males but not the opposite.Once borned, livebearer fries are all females but some do change into males.Females change sex if there is no males in the tank or when affected by parasites.But don't worry as this is not common.

I've read and heard of such an incident. Yeah, it probably is possible but only in the rarest of circumstances. Better consult a marine biologist, ichthyologist or veterinarian to be sure.

Yes but only female to male has ever been recorded...male to female hasn't been observed and probably doesn't happen.
