No, because the egg is not always fertile, so it is just an egg, not an embryo. If you are raising chickens just for the eggs, you don't have a rooster and the chickens are never pregnant. Women have eggs, but they are not pregnant until the egg is fertilized...same with chickens.

Yes certainly chicken,snake,fish,bird,tortoise,crocodile are pregnant before they lay eggs.In the holy qur'an God spoke that He can make going out a dead thing from the live creatures those are eggs and He can make going out live creatures from the dead those are babies animal which coming out from eggs.
You can make a proof by slaughtering a pregnant hen that in her womb are egg or by entering your finger into her ****.
