Guinea pigs stink & need A LOT of cleaning!!!
Mice can smell musky & need to have their cage cleaned about once a week BUT are great fun to watch!!
Hamsters are GREAT but can be a challenge to tame.
Rabbits are more intelligent than people give them credit for!!!
Which one I would get would depend on what you want out of the relationship & only you c an answer that....Study up on them!!!

I would rather have guinea pigs. I have 10 guinea pigs and one rabbit.
Rabbits are really strong and hate being picked up. Hamsters (most) bite and they are nocturnal. Mice never stop moving.. how do you cuddle them??
Guinea pigs have nothing wrong with them - they just sit there when you cuddle them, they don't bite (well I've never been bitten and I have had 40+), they are the cutest looking aswell! Oh and they make adorable noises. Rabbits don't make any noises, except grunting, which a male does when he's horny.
And guinea pigs are not smelly at all. I have 10 so I should know. And they do lots - mine are much more interesting to watch than the rabbit. And hamsters are asleep all day.
Cavies rule!!!

That's right, rabbits are lagamorphs, not rodents. But it depends on the situation as to which one I would have. Not a guinea pig because they are loud (Isn't the reason they are called 'pigs' is because the sound like them? They squeal and scream.) And their poo is awful-- soft and smelly and hard to clean. ...They don't really do much either. Hamsters are cute but I think that they bite more than mice or rats. And they are kind of in their own world. I've had hamsters before but I don't think I'll get another.
Mice are nice. You have to watch them every second that they are out so they don't disapear. Tame ones are nice to have aroud, and if you clean the cage it won't smell. My mouse is very tame and rides on my shoulder while I do chores and stuff. I have to wear old clothes when I do that, and wash them afterwards but it's worth it to have some company. The benefit of mice too, is that their claws are short and don't poke through clothes when they ride on your shoulder.
Rabbits are good if you have the house set up for them. They go to the bathroom A LOT so use caution if they play on carpeted areas. They are very sweet though and I like them. Ue caution if they live with dogs.
I like rats the best because they can be so tame and come when you call them and they are affectionate too. I have a small dog and they play with him- it's very cute.
Rats have pokey claws and they should have really big cages.

White mouse: I've loved mice for years and they are so curious and friendly. I can't have a hamster because they aren't in Australia; rabbits are too big, sometimes bity and we don't have enough room in my house for one (I don't like keeping animals outside); Guinea Pigs though incredibly adorable are too shy for my liking.
A mouse would be perfect though I'd have to get two (you can't keep them alone), they're small, easy & cheap to look after and as i said above, very curious and really friendly!

Of these a Guinea Pig. They are friendlier than all the rest.
But if I was getting a rodent, it would be a rat. They are smart, clean, friendly and seem to like people.
Cheers.
