1. Neon tetras. Hardy, nice glow-in-the-dark color, peaceful.
2. Swordtail. Fascinating color, active swimmer (and jumper too).
3. Betta. Very low maintenance.
4. Arowana. More attractive (but expensive and needs a bigger aquarium).
5. Silver Dollar. Peaceful, nice silver color, cute round shape.
6. Bronze Cory. Peaceful, cleans my tank, low maintenance.

1 - tough choice. I like the coloring of guppies, the schooling of the neons, and the spazzy-ness of the zebras. I think I'll have to go with guppies - easiest to breed, more hardy than the neons (but not as hardy as the zebras), seem to have more personality than the others.

2 - Platies - I like the variety in the coloration. They seem to be more hardy than mollies (which would've been my second choice) - swordtails just don't do it for me.

3 - I've never had a gourami (waiting til we set up another community tank for that one), so between the goldfish and the betta, I'd have to go with betta. I've always gotten very attached to my bettas because they are just so personable. Plus I can put them in with my other fish with no problems (three tropical tanks - can't put goldies in with tropicals).

4 - Flowerhorn - I like the colorations they have (though I've never owned either one, so I can't really comment much on this one).

5 - Silver dollar, hands down. I love my little piggy-fish. Got them five months ago, they're about four inches each at this point and still growing. They are the moodiest fish I've ever owned, and they are among the pickiest when it comes to food as well (they don't like spirulina chips, but they'll gladly eat the algae chips with fish meal in 'em). Definitely have their own personalities, plus they're community fish - I know no matter how big they'll get, they're not going to eat my smaller guys.

6 - Bronze cory - I have a school of albino cories in my 55-gallon, and they are so cute. They make for a great cleanup crew. Plus watching them school together is just so cool.

Im torn between 2 and 5. Mollies, Platies and Swordtails are adorable when they follow your finger across the tank. Angelfish and Silver Dollars are just beautiful to look at when you have them in groups. Don't know really. =P

I like catfish, and currently have a tank dedicated to corydoras catfish.

My favourite is the pepper cory, I will be setting up a 3 ft soon with my 5 adults and 50 fry.
