Just thought I'd let you know that I absolutely hate my glass-top. Hubby thought he was surprising me but he now realizes that it was a bad purchase. You have to be very careful not to bang pots on it. It doesn't heat real quick and although not hard to clean, it can be a pain to get boil-overs and burned food off. Also you have to wipe up sugar products right away. If left for even a small amount of time it can start pitting the glass which will compromise its integrity.

Go with something from a reputable dealer like Home Depot, Lowes, Sears. Look at the grantee and or warrant. A glass top always looks like it needs a cleaning, we changed our minds to late.

i like Kenmore its American made and sears stands behind their stuff. check the ads and you might get one cheap.
