The lady who was my daughter's family day care caregiver for 12 years while I was a single parent. She is an older woman who cannot read and write but would give you the shirt off her back, literally. Not only did she help me to raise my child whilst I worked, she also taught me how to be a good mother and allowed us to move in with her and her family when we had nowhere else to go. She and her family helped me move house twice, paid my electricity bill once when I couldn't, and never ever judged me, simply overloaded me with kindness when I didn't have much in myself. I love her to pieces and owe much of my current happiness to her. Once I married and had more children we had to move away to another state for my husband's work. I still ring her regularly but it is not the same as actually being there. When we do catch up once a year it is like we have never been apart, but once home I do miss her every single day. Treasure your friends..their blood is worth bottling.

People I am more likely to seek out or hang with.... In ways, they are like me, but not identical. Kind, understanding, willing to stand up for who and what they believe in, trustworthy and basically decent. The differences are good ones, we learn new things from each other. I have a hard time dealing with really perverted people, haters... prejudice.. whether it be for color or social standings or titles given to certain groups, people who don't care about others, rude and vulgar... I guess people with a lot of unbecoming qualities.

Besides my wife?......Not an easy question for me, since I don't get out much anymore. But I'd have to say that as far as kindest people I know, it'd have to be small children - they're all kind until they lose their innocence....

My mother. She almost never yells, she has tons of patience. She is the type of person who gives back change if she was given back too much money while paying for something. When things ring up too low, she asks them to check the price. She is the most kind, patient, honest person I know.

This little girl my sister babysits, her name is Dallas. She's so super cute and sweet as can be, not at all a pain in the butt like a lot of little kids can be, including mine. She never threw a fit, never tried to get away with crap, very polite and helpful but just a dream to babysit.

I'd have to say without thinking, my grandson. He does the sweetest little things and is so polite at times it gives me a new kind of faith in the human race. He's too young to have a hidden agenda, yet old enough to know he's being nice, and making another person happy with his smile and grace. Just simple things like 'please' and 'thank you' have new meaning coming from his lips....
God Bless the little ones....
And us old folks too....! ! !
Goodaytoyou..

Dan Millman- author.

This man has millions of copies of his books in print and still responds to suffering people via email. If you ever meet him he will treat you as his equal regardless of your position in life.Truly an enlightened being. I highly recommend any of his books
