Yes, several times.
We have two kids and my wife was tested a few years back, and of course, that was like a test for the both of us.
I am not in the "high" risk group, but back in the 80's everybody was nervous about Aids. I slept with a lot of girls, all kinds. I figured I would get tested and I was very nervous waiting for the results. Back then, I think it took a week. Every night, you would think about symptoms you might have, etc.
I was negative, and it was a big relief.
Everybody should get tested. In fact it should be a mandatory test when you see the doctor. I believe in personal freedoms of course, but for the well being of society, people should be tested. There are many people out there who have HIV and don't even know it.

Yes. I was raped in college back in 1990. and finally got tested in 1991, almost a year later. It was a grueling wait (2 weeks) and I was tested anonymously at a free clinic. It was very disheartening to sit in a long hallway @ 6 am in a line with about 50 people. I sometimes wonder how many of them didn't get the good news I did...

Yes. I got this 'infection' down there, and I was scared to death, thought it was something horrific. Dr. took one look at it and said "Dude, it's just a topical yeast infection, girls give those to guys all the time. Here's some pills and ointment, relax."
I was quite relieved, but decided to get a full work-up of tests to make sure. Came up clean across the board (whew). Taught me a valuable lesson.

Yes. I was with my ex husband for 20 years, and he had cheated almost the whole time, one affair lasted for 4 long years and she had had affairs with other guys besides my ex. He was stupid and thought that there was no possibility that she or he could ever get AIDS cause she slept around. DUH!! Then after that affair ended, he went to hookers and tried for a coworker. Talk about dumb! Once I found about all of the affairs, I left for good. I didn't want to chance it anymore with getting AIDS, and I didn't want to be with a loser like him.
