A fish seller told me that fish should be feed in the morning and at night. Just a little, or the tank will get messy. If they do not get enough food however, the fish my eat each other. Some fish eat even small gold fish or guppies, such as the Parania. ( Don't know if I spelled it right.) These same fish like hiding behind a rock or something when they eat the small feeder goldfish, do like to hide while eating. The meat eaters do not seem to need to be feed as often. I usually put in the feeder fish and wait until they are all gone, before adding more.

I feed all but my betta twice a day, once around 8 am and again around 8 pm. My betta I only feed in the morning. I do a lot of water changes though, depending on the tank I do 25% every other week to 50% once a week, so I'm not worried about polluting the water.

If you are asking how often to feed a fish it would really depend on the fish. I have a convict, clown fish, and a flame fish (salt water tank) and my specialty fish store says once a week. this is because my specific breeds eat parasites and other growths in the tank. Talk to a local specialty fish store (they know much more than your "Pet Store") and list the types of fish you have. Also make sure you are feeding them the "right" kind of food to.

I have 7 in a tank now, freshwater. I feed them once a day, about a pinch of food for all in total.

I have four goldfish and two catfish. I feed them twice a day, once when I wake up at 5:30 A.M., and again when I go to sleep at 3.30 A.M. ^-^. Hope that helps. Generally, a pinch twice a day is good.

I usally do it whenevr i can. i deal with all my animals afetr i wake up kinda my morning rutine so just whenevr you have time as long as your feeding them everyday. if there not hungry they just let the food go to the bottom anyway so it dosent hurt just dont over feed

Just pick and time and stick to it...
I am not sure it really matters at WHAT time you feed them as long and you do it regularly...
