I was a maid once, and my boss ran a business out of her home and she didn't want her clients to see me so when they came over I had to polish her husband's shoes in the basement.

That's the problem with too many people today - they're all doing jobs that they hate. If more people had the opportunity to do jobs they enjoy, the world would be a nicer place (wishful thinking I know).
I can honestly say that when I was able to work (fully disabled nowadays) I never had a job that I hated - I had some jobs that I became bored with, but never hated.

When I was 18, I worked at McDonald's for about 9 days.
I absolutely hated that job.
I quit by loudly and enthusiastically cussing out the manager during the lunch rush, in front of all the customers.
They cheated me out of a weeks pay on my first and only check, which was the one I got after I quit.
I decided then and there I deserved better, and from then on I only looked for or accepted "real" jobs.

I work at a call center for credit cards. I hate the bitchy people. I hate that they will ask the same question a million times or different ways to try to get you to say the answer THEY want to hear. If you don't want to hear the answer to the question, don't ask. If you already know the answer don't call. This is the most stressful job I know of. Since I must remain calm and polite during the call with customers I appreciate my opportunity to vent to ya'll. Thanks!

I was a chauffer for about 6 months...hated it!
Irregular hours and low pay. Most of the clients are either overdemanding snobs or obnoxious drunks (or a combination). Add that to the fact that I can get lost going to my own home, really wasn't the job for me :(p

Well, it wasn't a paying job but part of 'work-experience' for school and I did it on short notice at the local library...
And well, I didn't get a lot of front counter-time but spent most of my time reshelving books...ugh...it is one of the most boring tasks created!
People, for crying out loud, when you change your mind about a book don't just stick it back on ANY shelf but bring it back to where you got it from! It makes the job so much easier if you just cooperate!
Ok, so that's it...

I worked in a call center for a cable company -- so bad that only the fact that I was going back to school in a relatively short period of time kept me from quitting everyday.
