Recently, all 4 leading military papers called for Rumsfeld to resign or be fired. The Democrat majority won't be in until January yet they have already done so much more for our troops than the Republicans have done in the last six years - getting rid of Rumsfeld. It's obvious that if the Republicans kept the majority then he wouldn't have resigned, Bush even said that Rumsfeld wasn't going anywhere about a week ago. If this is what the Democrats can do before they are even in office, imagine what they will do when they get there! How about properly armored vehicles for our military?!

Sorry but some republicans look at it as a good thing to some were just as disgusted by all the games as you were human still means something and morals and integrity still matter to some conservatives wartier you may think so or not! i am glad that rummy is gone it's pretty bad when your own men give you a vote of no confidence! but i look at this as a victory for the troops after all they are the ones over there dieing and deserve all Americans to speak as one like we did "Yes and i did not stutter i said we"!

Bush is a scumbag for waiting until the Republicans lost the elections. It is like a bank robber waiting until they hear the sirens before stopping stuffing money into their bags.

I believe the problem in Iraq is due to conflict between Sunnis and Shiites. US happens to be in the middle of the battlefield. It matters little who the Secretary of Defense is.
