Donating to the local congressional race and putting out yard signs. $50

Taking the day off work to go and vote. $150

Paying the fine for kicking down your neighbors republican yard signs $200

The look on George Bush's face when he had to play nice with Nancy Pelosi on TV. Priceless.

The costs of running the elections is enormous.

I would guess that the total for all elections run in the United States this year should exceed a billion dollars, and maybe go to several billion dollars.

Now if you mean what did the results do to the Republican Party, well then, in Bush's own words, it was a "Thumping" (and he followed that with..."A polite way of saying something else").

For the few who won the election, not even ONE CENT! They will make billions in the next 4 years in Washington. However, it cost billions to the taxpayers!!!!
