Number one if you haven't told your co-workers or your boss when he hired you that your gay, then you may want to reconsider that. I say this because though this is the year 2006, there are some people who are still living in the Stone Age. You seem to like your job, you say you have a great job. Well its been great this far then, keep it that way. Because if you do tell your co-workers, I guarantee you that some will not accept you. If anything some will resent you. Because this is the real world and some straight people can not accept others that are different from themselves. I know because my husband use to despise gays. Until he found out his son is gay. Long story short he loved his son so much that he realized that he was wrong in how he felt. This change does not happen to everyone. Some love and accept when others may hate. Why do I tell you to be proud of who you are, but your not going back into a closet because your not out to everyone,,no your protecting yourself is what your doing. And I have heard of people being fired because they are gay. Yes we all know it is illegal but it is still done. So it is something to consider before you decide.

At my job, I work with 5 girls and 15 straight guys. Turns out some of them had a suspicion from the beginning. I just didn't make a big deal out of it, and when they commented on women, I commented on men. When they talk girlfriends, I talk boyfriends. And now they all know and we all joke around (in a friendly way) - lotsa fun!
But it all depends on the guys of course - maybe first observe them a bit to see how far you can go...

Your sexual preference is not an announcement to be made to everyone. If they like to talk about women, that doesn't mean they have prejudice against gay but it also can be vise verse.Take some time and observe first.Of course its ok to be yourself, but sometimes being discreet is good, does it really matter to you that your collegue know that you are gay?Or does it matter to them?

Why would you do that? TMI ! They do not need to know, and you have no reason to tell them. If they haven't worked it out by now, they are slow to see things as they are. You are wanting to make an issue of your sexuality when it is not an issue to anyone else at this time.

I have an agreement with their co-workers; if they talk about woman, I talk aboutt men.
Some of the guys have come to accept me saying what a HOTTIE some guy is, but they steer clear in normal MENS TALK on WOMAN titties etc. (LOL - If they don't then I discuss mens body parts)
Lots of fun, be open.

You don't!
It would be different if you worked with all women, you could tell them.
But guys, most of them, are too insecure.

are you sure you want to? You don't have to tell anybody anything that isn't any of their business....I just worry about you wrecking your good relationships at work...if they can't handle the truth.
