HAve you ever called someone because you were thinking of them? And when you talk to them, they tell you they were just thinking about you? Or you can be thinking of someone, and then out of no where they call you. Freud studied this, but I can't find the article. How is it, sometimes we mutually think of each other, and than at other times they don't even cross our mind? What is this called? Any websites or books discussing this?

Extra Sensory Perception, or E.S.P.

I'm sure there were books on this subject.

Do a search.

From time to time, I experience E.S.P.

It's a strong argument about the possibility of a spiritual existence.

This is one of my favorite topics in psychology! Actually it was one of Freud's colleagues, Carl Jung, who coined the phrase for this phenomena: Synchronicity. He discovered when he was talking to a patient who told him that she had a dream the night before about a golden beetle. Just as she was talking about this, Jung heard a tapping on the window behind him and it was.......yep, a beetle. He claimed that synchronicity was not mere coincidence, that it was a glimpse into the underlying perfect order of the universe.
Freud did not believe in it, and called it hocis pocus nonsense. That was one of the conflicts the two had that lead to them parting ways. You could Google synchronicity and come up with tons of hits.

The great psychiatrist Carl Jung would call that SYNCHRONICITY> It is a kind of coincidence but on a much deeper plane of existence. He calls it " an acausal connection". You are "in sync" with that person, or with some event, with life! There is more to it so get his books in the library. It is very interesting to read what he has to say.
